Reiki (pronounced Ray Key) is a combination of two Japanese words rei and ki meaning universal life energy. Reiki is an ancient laying-on of hands healing technique that uses the life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies. Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances.

Massage is a focused, intentional, and deliberate touch to balance, soothe, relax and energize the body.
It addresses the whole dog…physically, emotionally and mentally and is an excellent preventative tool as well as an aid in rehabilitation. Bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments hold the skeleton in proper alignment. Massage Therapy aids the body in supporting this natural alignment.

How does the "group living " environment work?
Jennifer's personal dogs have been raised in a group living environment and are easy to get along with.  Each canine guest is required to visit with their owner prior to their first stay, to ensure they are pet-friendly and will be comfortable.

How is a Reiki treatment done?
In person, hands may lie on the animal or just off of the animal in their energy field; most animals tend to prefer this method of receiving Reiki. Distantly I use a "stand-in" animal and reiki is easily sent to your animal across a distance. The animal is the one who controls the Reiki session. Reiki is offered and the animal chooses if they wish to receive it. They are allowed to move around and find their preferred “distance” from the practitioner. Many animals will respond to the Reiki energy by relaxing, licking or chewing, yawning or even laying down. All are signs of “releasing".
